Your Duck training starts here…
Ducks Development is a co-ed all skills training program for beginner athletes, or athletes with limited volleyball experience. Athletes will develop and grow in a fun and challenging learning environment. The focus of the training will be to teach the fundamentals of volleyball: passing, setting, serving, attacking and defense, and athletic development.
Training will implement skills through various game situations, and will take place in a positive, collaborative and competitive environment for a much deeper level of learning. High coach to athlete ratio to ensure hundreds of meaningful contacts will take place, and appropriate feedback is delivered to each of our athletes.
We have 2 primary goals with this program:
1) To introduce male and female athletes to the game of volleyball, and to grow their passion for the game
2) To provide the athletes the tools and pathway they require to play school and club volleyball
Programs are offered throughout the year, the estimated months of training are below, however, are subject to change based on gym availability and demand:
- Fall (September to November) – Registration OPENS in July
- Winter (January to March) – Registration OPENS in November
- Spring (April to June) – Registration OPENS in March
- Summer – Beach Volleyball (May to July) – Registration OPENS in April

There are no tryouts for this program. All athletes from all clubs are welcome.

Group placement is at the discretion of the camp director.

This program is very popular. Sign up quickly. If it is full, please sign up on the waitlist. Sessions may be added if necessary

IMPORTANT - ALL Athletes are required to register as Volleyball BC Recreational members in order to participate. Once your registration has been confirmed, you will be send a club-specific link to register. Cost is approx $13 DO NOT REGISTER AS A VBC MEMBER BEFORE YOUR ACCEPTANCE INTO THE PROGRAM IS CONFIRMED BY THE DUCKS – You will be sent a confirmation email along with a club-specific link to register. If you are a current VBC member, your membership expires at the end of August – you will be asked to renew after this date. The amount that you pay for membership will be valid for any program for the upcoming year. If you play club volleyball, the amount is deducted from your required full VBC membership fee.
13U-15U Spring development program | 2010 - 2008 born
Our Development 13U-15U program is a co-ed all skills training program, for beginner to limited experience athletes, where they will develop and grow in a fun and challenging learning environment. This program is focussed on helping prepare and give athletes tools they need for school and club volleyball, as well as 6 vs 6 gameplay, while growing their passion for volleyball. Athletes will be working on technical development in game-like situations, be introduced to volleyball systems and concepts, while developing their overall ball control. Training will take place with an evolving court size, with a smaller number of athletes, competition will be 4 v 4 and 6 v 6 modified games to ensure all athletes can learn and practice all positions and skills.

13U-15U Spring development program

REGULAR REFUND POLICY
The Ducks’ policy is that no refunds will be given once programs have commenced. It is club policy that refunds will ONLY be given under specific extenuating circumstances. Return of the registration fee must be approved by the registrar and will be prorated if the sessions have already begun. Refunds are subject to:
– $40 cancellation fee
– prorated amount, based on the amount of sessions elapsed
– deduction of unrecoverable costs (ie. facility fees, affiliation fees, equipment, etc.)
– refunds will not be given for sessions cancelled due to inclement weather or athlete missed sessions
