2025 Identified Athletes

2025 - for invited athletes only

Congratulations! You have been identified to a Ducks team for the 2023 season! Your confirmation email will contain your team placement details as well as your practice times. Please be sure to read through this entire page as it contains a large amount of important information.

STEP 1) BE INFORMED

You will be placed onto a specific team on TeamSnap, and receive an automated notification from TeamSnap, you will also receive an email specific to the volleyball team you have been identified to. This email will have tentative costs and practice times for the upcoming season. Please review the information in the email, so you can make an informed decision about participating in our club. The coach of your team will also be contacting you within 24-48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the upcoming season (12U athletes will not be contacted by phone – any specific questions can be directed to: info@ducksvolleyball.ca). STEP 2) ACCEPT OR DECLINE

Use the form at the bottom of the page to accept or decline your spot on a team AND upload your signed form (if accepting). Please refer to your email for the exact deadline date for responding. Delays in confirming teams are a result of having to wait for athletes commitment and signing dates. Please, if you have made a decision to accept or decline, we would appreciate a reply as soon as possible out of respect for the other families waiting for spots. During this time, there can be fluidity with athlete team placements as athletes accept and decline their spots.

  • 12U-14U Signing Date (Must respond by and offers expire November 25, 2024 by 6:00 pm)
  • 15U Signing Date (must respond by and offers expire Dec 2, 2024 by 6:00 pm)
  • 16U-18U Signing date (must respond by and offers expire December 9, 2024 by 6:00 pm)

STEP 3) DEPOSIT

Athletes will be asked for a non-refundable deposit when accepting a spot on a team for 2025. We are currently building our budget and with many unknowns it is challenging. We will finalize details shortly. The costs for the 2025 season are difficult to estimate due to the increased costs in facilities, increased cost of and number of tournaments, insurance, and equipment. We have provided a guideline of cost in your email.

12U-14U: Dec 5, 2024
15U: December 13, 2024
16U-18U: December 19, 2024

STEP 4) NEXT STEPS

  1. TeamSnap | Install the TeamSnap app on your phone. Please make sure that all contacts are on your profile and accurate. We use TeamSnap for all team and club communication. –> Please take a look at your player profile and clean up your contacts. We are using a newer version of Teamsnap for the club and the import looks a little messy.
  2. Sport Lomo | You will be sent information on how to complete your Volleyball BC membership online through Sport Lomo using our club-specific link.
  3. Gear Sizes | We will be doing gear sizing at your warmup training below and/or at our club wide meeting on Dec 17th
  4. ADDITIONAL GEAR | At our club wide meeting, Volleyball Stuff will be on site selling Ducks’ branded gear in person for you to stock up before the season
  5. Warmup Training | Please stay tuned about information regarding your athlete warmup & prehab session.
  6. Club Wide Meeting | We are holding an in-person Club Wide meeting this year – Mark your calendars, Dec 17th – details coming soo
